I admit to loving crazy food stories

I’ve gotten more competitive of late. I like to feel like I’m winning at life. My job helps me feel like a rock star when I read articles about ridiculous foods like the pretzel-bacon-cheeseburger or the doughnut burger or the chicken nugget pizza.

My diet might not be great, but at least I don’t eat that sort of crap. I just eat regular burgers. And ice cream. And beer. And sometimes tator-tots covered in cheese, so I win!

I work out, so I can eat what I want (in moderation). I’d much prefer to go for a 30-minute run than live life without ice cream.

The photo on this story (scroll down) also made me feel good about myself. I won’t wait in line for Paula Deen’s butter-drenched cuisine.

I’m a journalist, nutritionist, doting auntie, one-time bobsledder, and wannabe health nut (who loves chocolate and pizza too much to fully commit). I don't want you to think my life is perfect. It's not.

Let's talk it out
