Something strange is happening

You know how as you near laundry day, outfits get stranger and stranger? Suddenly a top you wouldn’t normally pick to wear with those pants looks all right. The shirt you wouldn’t usually layer with that sweater will do.

Since I’m moving to a place with laundry facilities, I’ve been holding out on doing laundry at the laundromat. Today I did the kind of odd shirt under a sweater thing because they were both clean. Tonight, I plan to wear white trouser socks with my yoga pants for my last class at the fancy gym because all the gym socks are dirty and hand-washing those in the sink would just be icky. I already copped to buying new sports clothes, so I wouldn’t have to wash last weekend.

Similarly, my meals are taking a turn for the strange. At the beginning of the week, I had some nice turkey sandwiches going. One day I even had avocado slices on it. Yum! Then I ran out of lettuce and my sandwiches just became turkey slices and cheese. Today I ran out of turkey, so it’ll be grilled cheese tonight. Hopefully I can use up the rest of my bread with peanut butter toast for breakfast this weekend. I might have some strawberry somewhere in the fridge, too.

Come Monday night, I’ll be starting from scratch with … whichever box I unpack first and whatever I find for dinner on my new street. Looking forward to it!
