I’ve been going on and on about how much I adore fall. But yesterday was my final SUP class of the season and it made me miss summer! Now, my paddleboarding place is staying open until November, but it gets more miserable each time when the wind kicks up, the rain falls and the air gets colder. The (brown, murky) water is actually pretty warm.
Anyway, now that it’s not 90 degrees and humid, I’m seeing lots about summer that I loved and miss.
1.The outdoor events. Plays in the park, concerts in the park, movies in the park. I didn’t take advantage of enough in-the-park activities.
2.Endless sunshine. How fun is it to go out at 10 p.m. and it’s just starting to get dark? In Seattle, I loved backyard barbecues that go on and on. Here in New York, I’ve appreciated late-night walks uptown. No jacket, just go.
3.Falling in the water actually feels kinda good. When you get past that brown, murky water thing.
6.Laying in the grass at the park.
7.Things going on every weekend. Not just community activities, but the calendar just gets crammed full of friend events and beach outings.
I could only get as far as 7! I really am a autumn-loving girl after all.
