How I spent my 2011

Happy New Year! I looked at at my resolutions for last year.

1.Cable knit a throw blanket. My sister taught me to knit over Christmas. I’m still practicing on a scarf, but my real goal, the blanket, is next! Check! It’s not 100% finished, but I’m snuggled under it as I type this.
2.Read all the books on my bookshelf. I moved a dozen books that had been on my shelf, unread. It’s time to read them. Um, no. I read a good number of them. The motivation behind this goal was largely not to spend good money on books I won’t read. While some of the unread books are going to Half Price Books tomorrow, I only purchased two new books this year – three if you count a textbook. The rest were purchased used or borrowed from the Seattle Public Library. I made several trips to the Greenwood branch. So I consider this resolution a success anyway. The habit was made.

But I’ve had lots of accomplishments in 2011. Things I didn’t necessarily plan to do. Lots of pride!

Let's talk it out
