I’m feeling pretty awesome. My friend Betsy got me a Smash journal. Have you seen those? Read her post about them. I decided to use mine as an inspirational reminder of the cool things I’ve done and accomplished in my life. It’ll be a nice to flip through when I’m facing freelance rejection. I’ve been digging through my box of cards, letters, photos, stuff from trips, badges from past jobs, my bachelors degree, reporting awards, etc. I’ve done a lot of cool things.
Just this weekend, I added a couple more accomplishments. I knitted my first blanket! Just in time for the cooler temps, my (really heavy!) cable knit blanket is waiting to be cuddled with on my sofa.
And, I took a stand-up paddleboard yoga class. It was so fun to glide across the water and chat with fellow yogis. The majority of the eight-person class was new to paddleboarding, so we could all bond over our nervousness. It didn’t take long before we were all comfortable on our boards and loving the experience. A little pigeon and bridge beside the Ballard Locks was just icing on the cake.
Thanks for inspiring me, Bets!
I definitely need to find one of those journals for myself. Instead of working I’m now imagining the fun things i could “journal” with one of them. Thanks!
