Are you adaptable?

I’m working a different shift than usual this week, and I hate to admit it, but it’s throwing me off. “Jet-lagged” would be a good description. My morning routine is off. My snack/meal schedule isn’t right. I don’t feel like running after work.

My shift changed by a half hour. Only 30 minutes! I thought I was a pretty adaptable person. Apparently not.

I often hear parents talking about the importance of keeping their little ones on a schedule. I get it now. But I’m a grown-up. I should be able to handle a wrench thrown at me, right?

If I’m this thrown off this week, how am I going to be next week when my shift moves back another hour? AND my job changes?

Do you get thrown off by schedule changes? How do you deal?
