“It’s life’s little twists and turns and bumps and bruises that make you who you are. So why regret that?”
It’s a quote I heard from Pacey “Dawson’s Creek” back in high school. Or maybe college. I don’t actually remember when I first heard it, but I must’ve been doing homework at the time because I jotted it in down in a red spiral notebook. It was a less-than-half used notebook that I held onto and found a while back. I remembered writing down. And even more, I remembered what it meant to me.
I feel like it’s the bumps and bruises in life that set your character. Sure, the easy times are great, but how you rise to those twists and turns is what defines you. They make you you. So I like to embrace them, and be thankful for them.
… you know, after I stop asking, “Why me?”
